Why Dermaplaning Is All The Rage
Alexandra Nicole with City Chic Living, and a client who is obsessed with our dermaplaning treatments at a Beautiful You Medical Spa and sent us a video that she created of our dermaplaning service. In this post, we will share that video as well as answer the top questions that we get asked about our dermaplaning treatments.
What is a dermablade dermaplaning treatment?
Also known as dermaplaning, this exfoliation procedure uses a medical-grade dermablade to gently remove the dead skin cells and vellus hairs, also known as “peach fuzz”, from the surface of your skin.
Which is better microdermabrasion or Dermaplaning?
We recommend slight exfoliation with the glycolic cycle in our hydra facial service paired with our dermablade treat meant over microdermablasion. We have experienced dermaplaning to yield quicker results while offering some of the same exfoliating benefits as microdermabrasion. Dermablading also removes facial hair where microdermabrasion does not.
What are the benefits of dermablading?
– Exfoliates the build up of dead skin cells
– Removes velus facial hair that can trap environmental debris
– For all skin types
– Helps skincare products to penetrate the skin deeper.
– Reduces the appearance of light scarring and fine line.
Will your hair grow back thicker?
NO! It is an old wives tale that when shaving your face, your hair grows back thicker. Because it is all removed at the same time and grows slowly back at the same time, it may seem that it has grown back thicker. But actually growing back fuller or thicker is definitely not the case.
What is the average cost?
Dermaplaning prices usually range from $75 to $150 and up however we only charges $65 for a dermaplaning treatment or $50 for the treatment paired with our hydrafacial. Pairing the dermablade treatment with a hydra facial will allow the facial products to penetrate the skin on a deeper level for better more lasting results.
